January 24, 2006 – Kineto Wireless, a key innovator and leading supplier of Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology, was named to the shortlist of nominees for the GSM Association’s (GSMA) 2006 Award in the Mobile Innovation category. Kineto was selected in the fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) market for its UMA technology. The GSM Award recognizes achievement and excellence across the mobile communications world. Entrants were judged on: highly innovative and original thinking in a mobile wireless product; service or technology concept; clear benefits for operators or end users; performance improvements or cost reductions; international appeal; the capability of being deployed by GSM operators around the world; and the product’s practicality and ease of adoption in the marketplace.
