January 9, 2007 – Packet Design, a leader in the field of route analytics technology for managing large IP networks, has named Steve Ackley as vice president of worldwide sales. Ackley brings Packet Design a range of worldwide sales experience, most recently with MonoSphere, a storage capacity planning software firm. Ackley has also held senior sales executive roles at: Satmetrix Systems, Vicinity Corp. (acquired by Microsoft), Marimba (acquired by BMC), Tivoli Systems (IBM), and Sun Microsystems. Packet Design, Inc. pioneered the field of route analytics and is a leading supplier of network appliances that provide routing-layer visibility into IP networks.
