July 11, 2006 – SkyPilot Networks, the leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless mesh networks and technology leader in the municipal Wi-Fi market, secured a $21 million round of funding. August Capital led the financing, which was joined by: Mobius Venture Capital, INVESCO Private Capital, Nexit Ventures, Palo Alto Investors and Selby Venture Partners. This investment brings SkyPilot’s funding, since inception, to $68 million.  SkyPilot Networks provides carrier-class wireless broadband mesh networks that enable service providers and municipalities to rapidly deploy cost-effective broadband Internet access, voice over IP, public access Wi-Fi service and video surveillance.
