January 2006 – Synfora, Inc., a leading provider of application engine synthesis (AES) software used to design complex systems-on-chips (SoCs), appointed Sunil Ashtaputre as Vice President of Engineering.  Ashtaputre joins Synfora from Synplicity where he served as Vice President of ASIC Synthesis.  Prior to this he worked at Synopsys, VLSI Technology, Compass Design Automation, and Seattle Silicon. Ashtaputre holds five patents related to techniques for placement and routing of ASIC designs.   Synfora’s technology helps to reduce fixed design costs and dramatically speed chip development and time-to-market.
