February 4th, 2005 – Aprio Technologies, one of the electronic design automation (EDA) industry’s technology leaders in design-for-manufacturability (DFM), has named Mike Gianfagna as its new president and chief executive officer.  Gianfagna brings more than 25 years of senior management experience in both the EDA and the semiconductor industries.   His industry experience includes serving as: vice president of marketing at eSilicon Corporation, a leading custom chip provider; vice president and general manager of the System Level Design Group at Cadence Design Systems; and vice president of sales at Zycad Corporation, a specialty computer hardware vendor. He has also held senior management positions at General Electric Solid State and Harris Semiconductor (now Intersil).
