May 8, 2007 – SiBEAM, a leading innovator of millimeter wave (mmWave) solutions and developer of high-speed wireless communications platforms, has added George Palmer to the executive team as Vice President of Operations. As Vice President of Operations, Palmer will be responsible for manufacturing, product engineering, test engineering, quality management, packaging, facilities and IT. Palmer brings over 30 years of semiconductor operations, development and product management experience. He worked as Vice President of Operations at PortalPlayer, Inc. which was recently acquired by NVIDIA and is notable for providing music player chip controllers for Apple’s iPod products. SiBEAM is a fabless semiconductor company developing intelligent millimeter wave technologies and leveraging the latest manufacturing methods to meet the demand for high-bandwidth services.
