December 12, 2005 – SkyPilot Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless mesh networks and technology leader in the municipal Wi-Fi market, has added Wes Schaefer as Vice President of Business Development.  Schaefer is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of fixed and mobile telecommunications industry business development and sales experience in North American and Europe. Prior to joining SkyPilot, Schaefer held key roles at startups Airespace (acquired by Cisco), NetNumber and  Nuera as well as larger companies including Ascend, Banyan, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Motorola. SkyPilot Networks provides carrier-class wireless broadband mesh networks that enables service providers and municipalities to rapidly deploy cost-effective broadband Internet access, voice over IP, public access Wi-Fi service and video surveillance.
