September 2005 – SOMA Networks, Inc., a leading provider of mobile WiMAX technology, has named John Giarolo as Senior Vice President of Sales for Europe and the Americas.  Giarolo brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience to SOMA. Prior to joining SOMA,  Giarolo was Vice President of North America Sales at UTStarcom. He has also held executive positions in sales and marketing at Luminous Networks, Convergent Networks, CIENA, Ascend Communications, Cisco Systems and McData Corporation.   SOMA Networks provides a converged all-IP Multimedia Applications Platform, including base stations and non-line-of-sight subscriber gateways.
